Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is chaired by the Vice-President and advises the Board of Directors on the overall governance of the ACA. Specific duties include:

  • Encourages continuity and consistency in all ACA operations
  • Coordinates annual elections for leadership positions
  • Solicits nominations for board positions
  • Reviews terms of reference for all committees and task forces to ensure alignment with the ACA bylaw #2
  • Reviews and recommends changes to the ACA bylaw to meet changing needs of the association
  • Coordinates annual call for members to committees and taskforces
  • Supports strategic planning and benchmarking of strategic priorities
