In June 2019, let’s talk about origins: origins of the profession, origins of the theories and practices we follow, but also the origins of records themselves. Bringing a new record into the world creates a manifestation that encodes responsibility – on the part of the creator as well as the archivist/records manager. We need to ensure that at the moment they are created and shared, records are endowed with the qualities essential to their survival.
Registration is open to ACA members, AAQ and ARMA members at reduced rates. The Early Bird registration opens March 6th and goes until April 15th, 2019. From the 16th of April until the 13th of May, attendees may register online. Onsite registration rates will then be applied prior to the conference, June 5th until the 7th of June, 2019.
Please note that this year, education sessions take place concurrently throughout the conference. Sessions are limited and attendees should ensure they are signed up for both workshops when there are two. Education sessions have limited capacity: Thursday - 3d/4d: 30 people; Friday - 7d: 30 people; 8d/9d: 30 people and Saturday - 11d/12d: 20 people. A waiting list will be created for the education stream sessions.
Attendees can pick up their conference kits beginning at 1:00 pm on the 5th of June and are invited to attend the Opening Reception at 6:30 pm. Sessions begin at 8:30 am on the 6th of June. For more information, consult At-a-Glance. The full conference program for Archival Origins is also available.
