Many of our archival collections have a wide array of magnetic tapes – from ¾ inch U-matics to MiniDVs to Digital Betacams, and many many more. How do you tell all these kinds of formats apart? And once you ’ve identified them, how do you care for them?
This virtual workshop will introduce attendees to the wide variety of magnetic video formats and describe how they should be handled and stored. The objective is to get attendees comfortable with the magnetic video in their collection.
