ACA Poster Session 2019: Archival Origins,
June 6 - 8, Toronto, Chelsea Hotel
** CALL FOR POSTERS**
Do you have a topic you are burning to communicate about, that would work well in a visual format? How about developing a poster for sharing at this year's conference? We have room for a good number of posters, and we are flexible about the topics. We'll judge your proposal on the same basis as the conference theme, but if there's room we'll be happy to include any posters relevant to the profession. If it complements a presentation that you, a colleague, or any other speaker is already talking about, that's great too.
Posters on the theme of Archival Origins are especially encouraged, though other topics addressing any aspect of archives and/or records management will be considered. For more information about the conference theme, visit the ACA conference website.
A poster presentation is one in which information is summarized using texts and images, and presented in a poster format. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight your repository, a digitization project, a research project or other initiative, and share your work with your colleagues from around the country.
The posters will be on display, with trade show exhibitors and will be featured on Thursday June 6th, 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Up to eight (8) poster presentations will be selected by the Program Team for display. The ACA reserves the right to cancel the posters in the event that insufficient submissions are received.
The poster should be 48” wide (121 cm), and up to 48” high (121 cm), and can either be professionally printed or created by hand. ACA provides the stands for display of the posters (Afix display units -www.afix.ca). Successful applicants will receive additional detailed information about the display units and poster production recommendations, including paper type.
The title and abstract of your poster presentation (max 250 words). We ask that you limit yourself to only one poster per submission.
The deadline for submissions is: March 31, 2019
Questions and submissions should be sent to to: Program.Team@archivists.ca
