Education Programme and Plan

Education and training are essential elements in the development of any profession.  This is especially true in the rapidly changing world of the archival profession. The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) has been a leader in archival education in Canada since its establishment in 1975.  This leadership role includes the development of the ACA's Guidelines for Master of Archival Studies Curriculum (1990), Guidelines for Post-Appointment Continuing Education and Training Programmes (1991) and the ACA's Education Programme and Plan (1992).  These documents are available in PDF form and can be accesed here:
